Shipping
Manager
Are you
adrift? Do you need a new port? We require a Shipping Manager to oversee the
freight forwarding from the Far East to our UK, Europe and Worldwide
clients.
Key
objectives of the role:
To ensure that all work is
competively tendered and the best price is achieved.
To enhance Igloo business and
deliver on time performance, ensuring an efficient and timely service is
supplied to Igloo and their clients.
Plan for consignments to arrive
at their destination as quickly as possible and in good condition.
Manage incoming and outgoing
consignments at the port dockside working closely with the freight
forwarders and the Production and Operations Teams.
Order processing and
administration.
Providing weekly shipping
requirements to our freight forwarders with deadlines to be met and consolidation
deals.
Stock control with Production and
Operations to ensure that sales order dates can be met.
Tender annually for all our
export work based on volumes and sailing routes.
Monitor LCL/FCL costs closely to
provide best value for money.
Ensure budgets are controlled,
raise purchase orders and approve all invoicing thereof
Essentials
Skills:
In-dept knowledge of Export
Documentation, letters of credit, bill of lading, customs procedures,
shipping and freight rates and all other export procedures.
Export/Customer services or
export experience essential.
Excellent organisational,
communication and interpersonal skills necessary.
Computer literate and knowledge
of working in stock databases.
Good telephone manner and
attention to detail.
Team player and able to work
under pressure within a rapidly growing company.
Strongly motivated, confident and
enthusiastic.
Designer
We require an ambitious, creative and experienced
individual who has tons of imagination. You must have at least two years
experience of children’s book, or magazine design and be skilled in all current
design software packages. You should also be able to work quickly and
accurately to tight deadlines, be enthusiastic, confident,
hard-working, have a good eye for detail and be able to stay focused.
Working closely with the editorial and design teams and the Publisher, you will
take responsibility for projects from concept to finished product ensuring
great quality books are delivered on time and to budget.

Design
Studio Manager
We are looking for a Studio Manager/Designer
reporting into the Managing Editor and the Publisher in a rapidly expanding and
dynamic company based in Northampton. The role includes taking full
responsibility for the team of 5 existing designers, ensuring schedules are
adhered to, all projects are completed on time, accurately and on brief, and
productivity is maintained throughout the studio. The role also involves
handling a number of design projects of your own, so a strong design portfolio
is essential. A strong team player, the successful candidate must have at least 3 years
experience as a Senior Designer/ Artworker, preferably with team management
experience, too. An in depth knowledge of Adobe’s Creative Suite and
Quark is essential, together with pre-flight experience.
The role requires an excellent eye for composition, typography and a passion

Sales
Administrator
We are looking for a first class administrator who
will take over some of our blue chip clients to ensure all of their needs are
met. You will need to have and be able to demonstrate the following:
You are capable of managing and
administrating your own accounts which includes pre order information
through to invoicing.
You are capable of direct contact
with your customers at all levels in a professional manner.
You have advanced experience of
MS Office 2007 particularly Excel.
You have advanced experience of a
sales order processing and stock management system (We use Pegasus Opera)
You thrive in a busy environment
with tight deadlines.
You are excellent at time
management with the ability to be methodical
You are proactive rather than
reactive to issues and strive to always provide an excellent service to
our customers.
You are flexible in your approach
to your role with the desire make a difference and make this role your own.
This
role offers the opportunity for growth for the right person sales support
of blue chip clients. You will need either at
least 2 years experience in sales administration or have passed a office
administration course. Intermediate experience in MS Office is essential,
and experience in a sales order processing system would be useful. The
role of managing the storeroom will require a good level fitness as lifting and
carrying cartons of books is part of this role.
Junior
Sales Administrator
The role
will consist of:
·Maintaining
stock levels in our store room to ensure our Sales Team have samples for their
customers.
·Ensuring
our showroom is always set up for customer meetings.
·Handling
the administration/sales support of your own customer accounts.
·Dealing
with telephone calls, courier and customers.
